009 Main Altar
Leonas Sapiega spent 25,000 gold pieces to create this Renaissance altar of colored marble. It expresses the ideas of the Holy Trinity and Salvation: the lower section has a painting of crucified Jesus, while God the Father is depicted in the middle section and the Holy Spirit in the upper one. The paintings of the archangels Michael and Gabriel at the sides resemble the title of the church.
